Eight Tips for Having a Healthy Child

1) Eat a Good Breakfast!

Our body needs the energy to function, especially after sleeping at night when our reserves of energy are poor. So, whether it’s a day off or a school day, start off with a healthy breakfast. Strong carbohydrates; try a slice of bread or toast, milk, fruit, or yogurt cereal.

2) Vary the Diet of your Meals

To be healthy, you need more than 40 nutrients (such as vitamins and minerals) every day. No food includes all of them; it is therefore very important that your diet changes regularly. There is no good or bad food like that. The best way to have a balanced diet is to eat a variety of foods throughout the day.

3) Take Carbohydrates

Usually, we don’t eat enough carbohydrates like grains, rice, pasta, potatoes, and bread. Carbohydrates should provide about half of the calories your child needs each day, and it’s important to include at least one carbohydrate with every meal. For additional fiber, try whole meal bread, pasta, and cereal.

4) Eat Fruits and Vegetables!

It is in fruits and vegetables that we find the vitamins, minerals, and fibers that are essential to us. Both of us should try to eat it at least five times a day. For example, a glass of fruit juice for breakfast, two different vegetables during meals, and an apple or a banana to taste it. Thus, we cover the needs of vitamins, minerals, and fibers of his body for the day.

5) Avoid Eating Too Much Fat

Eating too many fatty foods like butter spreads, fried foods, and pastries, although they taste very good, is not always good for your body. So we don’t forget: lots of bread, but little spreadable fat such as butter and margarine! Our body needs fat to get all the nutrients, but we shouldn’t overdo it.

6) Drink Lots of Water

Not only does our body need food, but it also needs at least five glasses of fluid a day. To avoid becoming dehydrated, it is very important to drink, especially in hot weather or in case of intense physical activity. It would help if you didn’t wait until you are thirsty to drink because our body needs water long before you thirst. Natural water is fine, of course, but you can try tap water or bottled mineral water, natural or lightly flavored, carbonated or non-carbonated.

7) Brush your Teeth Well

Brushing your teeth at least twice a day is best. It can lead to tooth decay by consuming foods high in sugars or starch (slow sugars) too much during the day. It is, therefore, necessary to avoid snacking or drinking sugary drinks all the time. Sugar-free chewing gum can help maintain healthy teeth. The best way to maintain a star smile, however, is to brush your teeth twice a day with fluoridated toothpaste.

8) Have a Physical Activity Every Day

Our muscles and bones need to move, just like bicycle rust, when you stop using it. Physical activity keeps our hearts healthy, and our bones strong. Playtime games like skipping rope or soccer are good for working our bodies. Swimming is particularly good for getting in top shape.
